Alex Marks lives between Marfa, Texas and New Orleans, LA. Raised in Northern California, Alex received his Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the University of California in Santa Cruz. The focus of his art practice has been working at night with the light of the moon to explore time, autonomy and myth. He also specializes in art documentation, architectural and interior photography, and polaroid portraiture. Alex has worked for the New York Times, T Magazine, Texas Monthly, Travel and Leisure, MOMA, Chinati Foundation, JUDD Foundation, Architectural Digest, Ballroom Marfa and more on many projects covering a large scope of photographic needs.
