Alex Marks lives in Marfa, Texas. Raised in Northern California, Alex received his Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the University of California in Santa Cruz. Alex has been working at night with the light of the moon to explore time, autonomy and myth. His work over the past several years has focused on the West Texas landscape but also includes an ongoing project at White Sands National Monument. Alex has also worked for the New York Times, T Magazine, Texas Monthly, Travel and Leisure, MOMA, Chinati Foundation, JUDD Foundation and Ballroom Marfa on many projects covering a large scope of photographic needs. Recently moving to New Orleans, Alex looks forward to splitting his time between Texas and Louisiana.
